About me

Oyebade, Bukola Amoo (PhD) hails from Otan-Ayegbaju in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria. He holds  Bachelor of Agricultural Technology in Forestry and Wood Technology from Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Nigeria and Master of Science in Forest Resources Management (Forest Biometrics and Inventory) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; the same University where he bagged his Doctoral Degree (PhD). He began his academic career as an Assistant Lecturer at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology where he taught and conducted research in quantitative aspects of forest management. He is at present with the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, University of Port Harcourt where he is grossly involved in teaching, research in quantitative forest measurements and students’ empowerment for quantitative analyses in sustainable natural resource management.
At present, he is developing and simulating growth models for Pinus caribaea plantations in some Forest Reserves in Nigeria. As a professional Forester, he is a member of both local and international forest associations and organizations including the International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF- USA), Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN – Nigeria) and Forests and Forest Products Society of Nigeria (FFPS -Nigeria). In pursuance of excellence in his chosen field of interest, B.A.Oyebade (PhD) has over Thirty research articles in reputable (local and international) journals to his credit and has attended several academic conferences where he presented papers on issues related to quantitative and sustainable management of forest ecosystems in Nigeria.
Outside of forestry, his most passionate interests are reading, listening to good music and always willing to take challenges. He is happily married.
